Some of the exhibits at the Kannur lighthouse museum are the red ‘Light Ship’ that was anchored in the danger zones, an enormous optic used in the Lakshadweep Lighthouse, double-wick lamp belonging to the 19th century, a huge fog-bell used to warn ships and a radio beacon transmitter.
Since the lighthouse stands at a considerable height, one is delighted with an enchanting and panoramic view of the entire city of Kannur, the limitless Arabian Sea, the Baby Beach and even parts of Payyambalam Beach.
