Nehru Park


Nehru Park in Thrissur, named after the first prime minister of India, Dr. Jawaharlal Nehru is a well known and loved children's park right in the middle of the city. The park is situated near the Shri Vadakkumnathan Temple and it is a very popular location amongst the locals to get away from their normal commuting lives for a peaceful evening.

A big statue of an elephant made with steel is a main attraction of the nehru park, about 16 feet high, costs very high value,c.g prince was the architect of this elephant. It provides many slides for entertaining the children. The authority is very careful about maintaining the park very well. This park will be very comfortable for your child’s because it provides high entertainment facilities, also an aquarium with a variety of fishes found here.


A huge entry gate welcomes you into the park, and the name of the park is clearly sculptured in the main gate. A beautiful garden is the attraction of the museum. It is rich with colorful flowers and decorated with green meadow.One can sit in the chairs and benches or just stroll inside the park during the evening. There is also an aquarium inside the Nehru Park. It is also near to various shopping places in Thrissur and near to various other tourist places.
The Nehru Park has free entry and it is open during timings 1:00 PM  8:00 PM. The park remains closed on Mondays when most of Thrissur is closed.
